The players portray demons sent to the mortal realm to fetch a soul that is
owed to Him. That is, owed to the Master. The Chair. The Executive. The Home
Office.
They have been given equipment and identities, and a task which seems at
first glance very easy: simply locate the client, explain their purpose, and
drag him--kicking and screaming if necessary--back to Processing.
Of course, things are never that easy. . . .
The Burning House is a preliminary adventure that represents a
"first job" for a pair of newly incarnated collectors. It can
serve as a stand-alone adventure, or as the jumping off point for a
campaign, usually in the form of a series of jobs that are given to them by
the Home Office (Hell).
The Collectors: The Burning House uses the Fudge system, and contains
all the rules needed to play. Fudges adjective-based trait system also
makes this adventure easily convertible to any other game system.
